Moving on to the news, Ohio State has added another quarterback to its team. Tristan Gebbia, a graduate transfer from Oregon State and Nebraska, will be joining the Buckeyes. Gebbia has power-five experience, having played three years at Oregon State, and he will bring leadership and competition to the team.

Gebbia will not be competing with Kyle McCord for the starting quarterback position, but he will provide support and guidance to younger quarterbacks, such as Devin Brown and Lincoln Kind holds. He will also bring experience in Ryan Day’s offense, which is important for those who want to pursue coaching after their college careers.

Gebbia was a top-200 quarterback and four-star recruit when he came out of Calabasas, and he played for Nebraska for a year before transferring to Oregon State when Jonathan Smith was the head coach. Gebbia was named a captain voted on by his teammates while at Oregon State and played in 12 games, making five starts altogether.

Gebbia has a completion percentage of 64%, with 1250 yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions. His best year was in 2020 when he completed 80 of 129 passes for 824 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. He missed the entire 2021 season with a hamstring injury, but he is expected to receive an extra year of eligibility, which would give him one more year with the Buckeyes.

In summary, Gebbia’s addition to the Buckeyes’ team will help strengthen their quarterback room and provide leadership to the younger players. Although he may not see much playing time, he will be an asset to the team. Please subscribe to our channel and stay tuned for more Buckeye news. Go Bucks!
